Matt Sanchez
Matt is a passionate advocate for neurological rehabilitation and a highly skilled physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He pursued advanced post-graduate training in orthopedic manual therapy, specializing in spinal and peripheral joint dysfunction, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Complementing his orthopedic expertise, Matt is certified in concussion management, PoNS Therapy for balance dysfunction, and medical acupuncture—equipping him to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care.
In 2010, he co-founded Neurochangers alongside David Berto, with a bold mission to elevate neurological rehabilitation standards across Canada and help patients reclaim their lives through innovative, personalized treatment.
Fun fact: Matt once successfully treated a penguin with a pulled flipper using only acupuncture and interpretive dance (totally not made up… or is it? ).

Kirsten Labaj
Kirsten is a Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for treating people with neurological conditions. Kirsten graduated from McMaster University in 2014 with her Master’s of Physical Therapy. Since graduating, Kirsten has worked in a variety of settings including acute neurosurgical units, stroke rehab at Hamilton’s Regional Rehabilitation Centre, and acquired brain injury rehab at Toronto Rehab. Kirsten has taken courses to further her learning in neuro-physio including the NDT introduction course, NDT Ataxia workshop, Chedoke-McMaster Stroke Assessment, and the Bobath Introduction course.
Kirsten loves being able to help her clients reach their goals, and bringing positive energy into their day.
In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys going for hikes with her dog, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Leon Lee
Leon completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Western Ontario, majoring in physiology and medical science. While completing his undergraduate degree, he also worked as a research assistant as part of the Trauma & Neurosurgery Department at St. Michael’s Hospital. He then went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy at University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. During his time in Birmingham, Leon served as the student team therapist, providing pitch-side medical coverage for the university’s lacrosse team.
Leon has experience working in a broad range of clinical specialties, ranging anywhere from critical care, geriatrics, orthopaedics, to stroke rehabilitation. He has thus worked with a variety of patient populations including the critically-ills, pre-/post-operative, neurological patients and patients with acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries. Leon currently splits his practice time working between neurological and orthopaedic population. He utilizes an evidence-based, patient-centred approach in therapy combining manual therapy, patient-tailored exercise programs and education as part of his treatment. Furthermore, Leon firmly believes that the recovery journey is a collaboration between the patient and the therapist. He is keen to be part of his patients’ journey, utilizing his knowledge to help guide, facilitate and maximize their recovery potential.
Leon is committed to providing excellent patient care. As such, he always aims to further advance his clinical skills through post-graduate professional development and volunteer work. He is a current Red Cross First Responder and a current candidate of the FIFA Diploma of Sports Medicine in Football. He seeks to further expand his skillsets with plans to be certified in Sports Physiotherapy, Level 1 manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division, medical acupuncture and the Bobath concept for the neurological population. Outside of clinic, Leon stays active through weightlifting, cycling, swimming, and experimenting new sports.
Erin McCrea
Erin graduated from Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands with a Bachelors of Physiotherapy degree. She skillfully provides her patients the tools they need to help them recover or manage the issue they are coming in for. Erin likes to work together with the client to come up with the treatment that works best for them, with a personalized exercise plan so that they are motivated to have the best recovery possible! She has taken extra courses in vestibular and concussion rehab, as well as spinal cord injuries and stroke.
In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling, reading, biking, and trying new things.
Rebecca Chow
Rebecca completed her BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, where she became interested in neurological populations through her undergraduate research in Parkinson’s disease. From there she continued her Parkinson’s research and completed a Master’s degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. She then completed her Master’s in Physical Therapy at McMaster University. Her passion for neurorehab grew with her continued advanced-level training in the Bobath Concept.
Rebecca’s clinical experience encompasses a broad range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and functional neurological disorders. Rebecca is devoted to providing person-centred, evidence based care for her patients.
In her free time she enjoys travelling, exploring the city, and spending time in nature.
Atty Yazdy
Atty completed her Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University, while working in a specialized exercise facility for individuals living with neurological, cardiac, and chronic health conditions.
She went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where she completed placements in acute stroke units, in-patient stroke rehabilitation at Toronto Rehab, and with Neurochangers! She also conducted research in paediatric neurological conditions in collaboration with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. These experiences solidified her passion for working with neurological populations, and she has been doing so ever since!
Atty now works with a broad range of clients including stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy, as well as orthopaedic injuries. She continues to further her learning in neuro-physiotherapy with courses in the Bobath concept,and a specialized course in treating FND. In her spare time, Atty enjoys being outdoors with friends and family, travelling, and trying out as many new places to eat in Toronto as financially possible
Aya Slim
Aya completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University where she became interested in neurological populations through volunteering at an exercise facility geared towards individuals with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, and various chronic conditions. She then completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
Her passion for neurological rehabilitation grew as she gained experience through her clinical placements, which included the Toronto Rehab Lyndhurst Centre inpatient SCI rehab program and private in the community. In addition to Spinal Cord Injury, she also has experience working with clients with Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and Brain Injury. She continues to further her learning in neuro-physiotherapy with courses in the Bobath concept.
Aya emphasizes the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients and tailoring treatment plans to their individual needs. In her spare time, Aya enjoys spending time outdoors, making puzzles, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
Lindsay Tomlinson
Lindsay completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at UOIT before earning her MSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in England. Following her studies, she gained nearly two years of clinical experience through rotational placements in the NHS. It is there that she developed a passion for musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy.
Having recently moved back to Ontario, she is preparing to write the physiotherapy competency exam to become a registered physiotherapist in Canada. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, whether it’s working out, hiking, or playing Ultimate Frisbee.
(Mo) Moatassem Keenan
Moatassem graduated from McMaster University with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy. Prior to that, he graduated from Ontario Tech University with a Bachelor of Health Science, specializing in Human Health. During his time in McMaster University, Moatassem completed placements in acute stroke units in Hamilton General, respiratory rehabilitation in St. Joseph’s Hospital, and private clinics that primarily focused on musculoskeletal conditions.
Moatassem grew up playing soccer and was a junior player for the Al-Ittihad Under 19 club. In high school, he made a full transition to basketball and weightlifting as his passion for the sport grew. Moatassem prides himself in his evidence-based practice approach to rehab and understands the importance of exercise in rehabilitation. In his free time, he enjoys going to new restaurants with his friends and family, travelling, and staying active through weight training.
Moatassem is passionate about working with neurological and orthopedic populations and is thrilled to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to NeuroChangers.
Mariusz Fajfer
Dr. Mariusz is the Clinic Director for our Whitby locations, bringing an elite, evidence-based approach to patient care. He earned his Master’s in Chiropractic with First Class Honors from AECC University College (UK) following a Bachelor of Health Science in Kinesiology from UOIT.
With a background rooted in high-performance athletics, Dr. Mariusz has served as a trainer for the UOIT varsity men’s soccer team and completed a prestigious internship with the English Premier League’s AFC Bournemouth, treating academy and first-team players. Locally, he has supported the Okanagan Hockey Academy as team chiropractor.
Dr. Mariusz specializes in a "patient-first" philosophy, blending diversified adjustments with advanced certifications in acupuncture/dry needling, concussion management, Foundations in Neurofunctional Assessment and much more. Outside the clinic, he is a soccer fanatic, a BBQ enthusiast, and is proud to serve patients in both English and Polish.
(JP) John Paul Rimando
JP is a Humber College graduate as an Occupational/Physiotherapist Assistant. With a lifelong commitment to continuous learning, JP graduated from Sutherland-Chan (Toronto) and received his Massage Therapy Diploma, and has enriched his expertise through various courses and workshops. During his time in Neurochangers, the clinic has become renowned for its innovative approach to neurological care. JP’s extensive experience and unique treatment approach sets him apart from the field.
Beyond his professional expertise, JP is passionate about fitness, often found working out at the clinic before his shifts. His dedication to wellness extends to mentoring the next generation of therapists, having supervised and taught Student Clinics at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy.
JP’s vision and commitment continue to inspire both his team and the wider community, positioning Neurochangers at the forefront of therapeutic excellence.
Lori Shtun
Lori graduated in 2006 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH). During her time there, she completed a placement at Queen Elizabeth’s Toronto Rehab Centre, where she had the privilege of working with individuals recovering from brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, and conditions such as multiple sclerosis. That experience shaped her approach to care, teaching her the importance of truly listening, understanding each person’s unique needs, and supporting them with compassion and determination.
Over the years, Lori has continued to expand her skills and now treats a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis, depression, headaches and migraines, whiplash, sciatica, scars, poor circulation, chronic pain, and offers both pre‑ and post‑natal massage. Her goal is always the same: to be a supportive part of your journey toward better health, comfort, and relaxation. She combines her knowledge and hands‑on experience with an intuitive, client‑centered approach that helps people feel cared for and understood.
And because life isn’t all work, a few fun things about Lori: she loves spending time with her family, enjoys running and exercise, has a passion for travel, and proudly embraces her status as a full‑on Disney nerd.
Amanda MacEachern
Amanda is a passionate graduate of the Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), specializing in kinesiology and exercise science. Following her degree, she achieved her credentials by becoming a Registered Kinesiologist. Amanda is passionate about the importance of exercise and believes in the power of exercise in recovery. In addition, Amanda has gone on to achieve her Massage Therapy Degree through Trillium College, with additional credentials in cupping therapy, laser therapy, and cognitive training. As a Neurochangers Massage Therapist and Kinesiologist,
Amanda has many years of experience treating in the neurological setting and has developed a way to integrate many different styles and techniques into her treatments. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and playing sports such as hockey, soccer, and golf.
(Rolly) Rolando Magno
Rolando also known as “Rolly” graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. He worked in his field for 7 years and continues to maintain his license. He pursued a more holistic career in Registered Massage Therapy graduating from Sutherland-Chan. He practices yoga, an avid rock climber and creates mobile apps in his free time.
Rolly practices all forms of Massage Therapy, relaxation or treatment based, he also maintains a certificate in and offers Indian Head Massage and Contemporary Medical/Neurofunctional Acupuncture. His ultimate goal is to help people in need and allow his patients to reap the immediate benefits of massage treatment.
Tishani Richards
Tishani is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Humber College with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy. She has a passion to provide patient-centred care, education, wellness and rehabilitation to her clients. Her goals are to provide tangible functional changes and improved pain management skills.
Tishani specializes in various techniques including Swedish Massage, therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy modalities. She looks forward to meeting you and supporting you along your healthcare journey.
Tishani is licensed with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO).
Cassie Day
Cassie is a Registered Kinesiologist with a passion for helping people reach their health and fitness goals through holistic means. Cassie holds a Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Brock University. Then, wishing to continue her education and gain more practical experience, Cassie completed the Post-Graduate Exercise Science & Lifestyle Management program at Humber College, and graduated with honours. While at Humber, she had the opportunity to complete an internship at NeuroChangers, and loved it so much she never left!
To date Cassie has additional certifications in Kinesio-Taping, Soft Tissue Release, HeartWise Exercise certification, Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness Specialist, is a certified PoNS trainer, is a Bone Fit Trained Professional, has completed additional coursework in the Bobath theory, and is in the process of completing her 200HR Yoga Teacher Certification.
In her free time Cassie can be found chasing her daughter around and trying to squeeze in some baking and outside time.
Lindsay Simpson
Lindsay is a Registered Kinesiologist with a BFA Honours Double Major in Dance & Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. After a little break for some world travelling, she returned to school and graduated with Honours from the Post-Graduate Exercise Science & Lifestyle Management program at Humber College. Throughout her education Lindsay has focused her studies on anatomy, athletic/dance injuries, somatic practices, fitness assessment, exercise prescription, and nutrition. While at Humber, Lindsay also co-authored and presented a workshop on the benefits of physical activity for people living with Type ll Diabetes.
Lindsay is also a prenatal and postnatal exercise specialist, a group exercise specialist, Heart Wise Exercise certified, a Bone Fit Trained Professional, a Certified PoNS Trainer, K-Taping Pro certified, has completed Intro to the Bobath Concept for Healthcare workers, is a PWR!Moves Certified Therapist, and is currently in the process of completing her 200HR Yoga Teacher Certification.
Outside of the clinic she can be found reading, travelling, and chauffeuring her daughter to her many activities. Lindsay really enjoys incorporating her dance background into her sessions whenever possible, so be prepared to move!
Danielle Loucas
Danielle is a Registered Kinesiologist who has a drive to help others better themselves through physical exercise. Danielle graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BSc in Kinesiology and later went on to study at Sheridan College in their Clinical Kinesiology program to gain more hands-on experience and expertise from those working in the field of kinesiology. While at Sheridan, Danielle had the opportunity to not only work with para-athletes on campus, but also complete a placement at Neurochangers which only fueled her interest in adaptive fitness.
In her free time, you may find Danielle trying out as many different sports as she can, or on our Instagram page completing wacky challenges.
Kristine Petkova
Kristine is a dedicated and skilled Registered Kinesiologist. She earned her BA in Kinesiology with a Minor in Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University. Committed to expanding her knowledge and expertise, she further honed her skills by completing the Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management Graduate Certificate Program at Humber College. Kristine is a compassionate professional with a focus on providing person-centered, evidence-based care to her clients.
Her educational journey is complemented by certifications that highlight her commitment to excellence. Kristine is a Certified Introduction to the Bobath Concept for Healthcare Workers, Certified PoNS Trainer, Certified FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) Evaluator and Physical Demands Analysis Evaluator. With a strong foundation in movement science, rehabilitation, and functional assessment, Kristine is committed to helping individuals improve their mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Kristine is also First Aid and CPR certified, ensuring a safe and secure environment for her clients.
Kristine enjoys traveling, reading, playing with her cat, and being outside in her free time. She values staying active and exploring new experiences that contribute to her personal growth and well-being.
(Sam) Samantha Argao
Samantha is a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Kinesiologist. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology from the university of Guelph-Humber at the same time as completing a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber College. After graduating she worked at a sports rehab and training centre where she gained experience in exercise prescription, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, gait analysis, personal training, and coaching.
She is excited to bring her energy and experience to NeuroChangers and is eager to help improve the lives of everyone she works with. In her free time you’ll find Samantha rock climbing or hiking with her dog.
Ashley Cummings-Morgan
Ashley is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, holding a Diploma in Medical Office Administration from Medix College and a Second-Class Honours Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education from Moneague College in Jamaica. She has always had a passion for customer service and strives to exceed expectations at the front desk.
Ashley began her skills by completing several business clerical courses at Dinthill Technical High School in Jamaica. She possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in her chosen field as a Client Experience Coordinator, showcasing the discipline needed to excel within an organization and tackle any task.
Ashley consistently demonstrates exceptional performance, discipline, and integrity, and she adapts seamlessly to any environment.
