What conditions do you treat?

At NeuroChangers we treat a variety of neurological and orthopedic conditions; we welcome everyone of all abilities and injury levels. Some examples of conditions we see include:

  • Neurological conditions (including but not limited to SCI, Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke)

  • Vestibular Conditions

  • Post-Concussion Symptoms 

  • Pelvic Health (pre and post natal, pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse)

  • Orthopedic Conditions (including but not limited to back pain, sprains, strains, pre/post-op rehabilitation)

What are examples of additional courses your therapists have done to specialize?

All of our therapists have taken additional courses to help improve their clinical skills and knowledge and provide the best therapy options for our clients. A brief summary of some of the courses/certifications our clinicians have taken are Bobath/NDT, vestibular and concussion management, pelvic health, PWR Moves (Parkinson's Wellness Recovery), BoneFit, PoNS Certified Trainers, and Pilates.

Does OHIP cover services at NeuroChangers?

Unfortunately, OHIP does not cover services at any private, outpatient therapy centres in Ontario. Please visit https://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/physio/pub_clinics.aspx for a list of OHIP covered Physiotherapy clinics in your area.

How long are treatment sessions?

The majority of our appointments are 60 minutes. Depending on exercise tolerance and therapy needs we can also offer appointment times ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring any relevant medical records or documentation. It is also recommended you bring any assistive devices you may need during your appointment (gait aids, braces, etc.) and water.
